Evelyn Fang is an film & game composer and clarinetist from China, currently based in New York and Shenzhen. She has extensive experience in both piano and clarinet, having been an integral part of school ensembles since the age of six. Her musical compositions are deeply influenced by oriental music and Nordic folk music, as well as elements of minimalism and the New Age genre. She is also a big fan of anime and video games such as Terror in Resonance and FF7 . Evelyn excels at discovering and incorporating natural sounds into her scores, creating rich sonic landscapes that bring the audience closer to the scenes and good with fantasy genre. She is currently furthering her academic pursuits with a Bachelor of Music in Music Theory and Composition with a concentration in Screen Scoring at NYU Steinhardt. She is now collaborating with student directors and game designers from NYU Tisch and student anime directors from FIT. Passionate about 2D and video games, anime, film, and sound art, Evelyn is eager to forge collaborations with artists from diverse cultural backgrounds.
